Citizens on Patrol

The Wood Dale Citizen Corp exists to encourage local citizens to work together with law enforcement, the fire department and emergency services on a local, county, state and national level. Our program includes Neighborhood Watch, volunteers in public safety and C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team). Our Citizen Corp Council assists in development and coordinating new and current programs, and action plans. Training for Corp members includes lifesaving information, crime prevention, crime analysis and how to assist and react in dangerous situations. Volunteers assist with traffic control during disasters and community events, work in the Records Division, and assist with crime prevention and evidence. Some volunteer for the fire department assisting with office duties. Volunteers are also used for radar patrol and phone patrol.
