Search Excercise July 21, 2004
On July 21, 2004 the Wood Dale C.E.R.T. team conducted a search Exercise
with the assistance of the K-9 Handler of the Wood Dale Police Department. The
scenario was, a van had pulled up and someone saw two men carrying something
into the field. We were at the possible scene of a crime and looking for any
type of evidence. We formed a long line with each of us being arm length apart.
We would take 3 steps and survey our small area. A C.E.R.T. member was
designated as data collector, taking notes and measurements and telling us when
to move and to stop.
